12 Days of Firemen - Day #12

Welcome to the last day of the 12 Days of Firemen! I hope you've had as much fun as I've had. First, the winners from yesterday are:

Marcy S.
Neena M.

That question was a tricky one, since sources give two opposite answers. But the most commonly accepted answer is that in the 1800s the fire brigades used to compete with each other and make their rigs the shiniest, spiffiest, raddest of them all. Red was a "royal" color, and the most expensive paint, so it became the norm.

Now, on to today's question!  Since today is DESPERATELY SEEKING FIREMAN'S book birthday, the question of the day is this:

Which couple from the very first Bachelor Fireman book plays a key part in DESPERATELY SEEKING FIREMAN? Name the couple and the book.

Since the paperback version of DESPERATELY won't be out for another week, the prize today is my one and only copy -- signed -- of DESPERATELY SEEKING FIREMAN, along with a Bachelor Firemen mug and some Hawaiian chocolate. The creative winner will receive a Bachelor Firemen gift pack. You have until 10am EST to answer either here or on my Facebook page.

Happy New Year's Eve! I hope 2014 is a joyful and magical year for you.
