Sales to libraries can account for 7 to 9 percent of a publisher's overall revenue, two major publishers told The New York Times. Like it or not, publishers and libraries are locked in a relationship of mutual interdependence.

Digital Book PrintingMatthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08161134347302121137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7819534006297524000.post-35454705687272572332012-11-06T09:07:50.297-08:002012-11-06T09:07:50.297-08:00Before I got my Kindle, I was solidly in the print...Before I got my Kindle, I was solidly in the print book category - in fact, I never thought I'd get an e-reader. When I bought the Kindle, I thought it was strictly for the NY Times... $20/month rather than $60 for home delivery. Then I read a free e-book and I was hooked.

My only worry now is that my e-books will- at some point in the future- be unavailable. I've used computers for over 30 years, and I've had many files become inaccessible as the machines advanced. Think Lotus 2.1 spreadsheets. Then where is my investment?

Whereas I STILL have actual books that I bought in high school. In the (ahem) 70's.

I've already pre-ordered for my Kindle! Can't wait to read it.
luckylibbethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16907614465006921461noreply@blogger.com
